THE CHALLENGE
The NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National meet is the epicenter of the best NAIA college track and field talent and it happens once a year in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The challenge was to make sure that the athletes that were along for the journey after a year or four of hard work were captured as they competed to possibly be named National Champs.
THE APPROACH
Through use of the already established brand of the college, I wanted to create a presence for this event that the athletes were excited about with graphics and design. My goal was to convey that the experience was a once in a lifetime opportunity and these college students worked extremely hard to get here, essentially making them feel like famous athletes. By highlighting each athlete so all of them recieved their own recognition rather than just as a national team, I established a personality of Hastings Track & Field, a group of exceptional individuals both in and out of competition.
